We appreciate your interest in our Explorer Post #457 program! 

 

We'd love for you to join us on the 1st Wednesday of the month for an introduction. It will give you or your teen (if you're a parent) a chance to learn the structure of the POST, meet the POST and potential friends, experience the fun, and learn law enforcement tactics and fundamental life skills. You must be 14-20 years old with parental permissions under 18.

 

At this first meeting, all you'll need is appropriate casual attire with comfortable running/training shoes. Please complete the forms located below and bring it with you to your first meeting. The POST meets every Wednesday from 5:30pm - 8:30PM at 200 Industrial Drive Placerville, CA 95667 at the Sheriff's Public Safety Complex. Please be sure to arrive a few minutes early to check in at the front lobby as this is a secured facility. If there are any issues when you arrive, please contact our office and ask to speak to an Explorer Advisor.

The Explorer POST #457 is an exciting program of regular community service events, adrenaline-pumping competitions, defensive and physical agility training, law enforcement tactics instruction, career preparation, and experiencing essential life skills. We challenge every teen to grow these skills through coaching and dedication, all while making valued friendships along the way. You will be trained in person by Sworn Sheriff's Office staff who are exemplary in their fields of instruction. We guarantee our Explorers will utilize the knowledge and training gained in our program to advance their maturity, values, friendships and future careers.
