Career Development

Explore the Profession

The Sheriff's Explorer program provides young adults with an immersive introduction to the field of Law Enforcement. Through ride-alongs, trainings, interactions with Deputies and the community, Explorers gain valuable insights into various career paths within the Sheriff's Office.

Hands on Training

Specialized Trainings

We offer many training opportunities such as K-9 handling, Building Searches, High Risk Traffic Stops, Search and Rescue, Crime Scene Investigation, or Off Road Vehicle Operations. These opportunities allow explorers to delve deeper into specific aspects of law enforcement that interest them.

Community Service

Giving Back

Explorers actively participate in community service projects, demonstrating the importance of civic engagement and giving back to their community. This may include assisting with traffic control at events, participating in crime prevention programs, or volunteering with local charities. As representatives of the Sheriff's Office, Explorers serve as positive role models for other young people in their community.
